Job Description:

This role is primarily in the construction industry and involves the management and oversight of payroll functions for the company. The Payroll Supervisor/Manager will work closely with HR, accounting, and project management teams to ensure that all payroll processes are in line with company policies and union contracts.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll for both union and non-union employees
Collaborate with Account Managers and Superintendents to ensure payroll calculations adhere to union agreements, including wage scales, overtime, and benefits contributions
Provide necessary operational support on payroll queries
Prepare benefit and insurance payments for third-party administrators
Cooperate with Controller to compile and record accounts payable for approval before payment
Coordinate activities related to external auditors and advisors
Engage in various administrative and office duties
Interpret and apply collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) concerning wages, benefits, and working conditions
Maintain an updated wage rate excel spreadsheet for payroll and estimating purposes
Accurately calculate and report on union benefits contributions, including pension, health, and welfare funds

Requirements:

Proven experience in Accounting Functions is required
Must be proficient in Benefit Functions
Demonstrable expertise in Payroll management is necessary
Experience with Payroll - Union is a significant plus
Ability to Code Invoices accurately and efficiently is crucial
Prior experience in Billing is a must-have
Proficiency in Foundation Software is highly desirable
