Job Description:

The selected individual will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of payroll laws in Texas and other states, and addressing employee inquiries.

Job Responsibility:

Managing the bi-weekly payroll process for a large team across multiple states
Staying informed about payroll laws and regulations in Texas and other states
Ensuring payroll operations comply with federal, state, and local laws, as well as best practices
Producing payroll-related reports to assist management decision-making
Overseeing the payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data
Answering employee questions about wage deductions, payroll discrepancies, and policies
Assisting the HR and accounting departments with payroll accounting tasks and rebalancing journal entries
Resolving payroll-related issues while maintaining strict confidentiality

Requirements:

Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
Ability to work with Ceridian software
Understanding of 401k - RRSP Administration
Experience with About Time software is a plus
Ability to perform Accounting Functions effectively
Auditing skills are crucial for this role
Knowledge of Benefit Functions is essential
