Job Description:

The Payroll Systems Analyst plays a key role in managing and processing payroll operations for Canadian corporate offices, manufacturing and distribution centers, and company-owned retail locations. This position is responsible for ensuring payroll services are accurate and efficient, researching industry best practices, and providing guidance to internal teams. The role focuses on maintaining and enhancing payroll system functionalities, including SAP SuccessFactors and UKG Pro WFM, while also supporting system testing, troubleshooting, and aligning business needs with system capabilities. Additionally, the Payroll Systems Analyst works closely with global teams to oversee system updates, documentation, and configuration improvements.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of payroll systems
  • Assist in processing end-to-end payroll for salaried and hourly employees across multiple provinces
  • Generate and review payroll reports to verify accuracy, compliance, and consistency
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities for system improvements
  • Participate in system testing by preparing test scripts, documenting outcomes, and suggesting enhancements
  • Conduct periodic audits to assess payroll processes, reporting accuracy, and regulatory compliance
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including system guidelines and process manuals
  • Provide training to internal teams on payroll system functionalities, updates, and best practices
  • Act as a key resource for troubleshooting reporting issues and optimizing workflows
  • Assist with month-end and year-end payroll processes, including reconciliations, government remittances, and the issuance of tax forms

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing payroll operations across multiple provinces
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to interpret business needs and translate them into system capabilities and technical solutions
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors and UKG Pro WFM is beneficial
  • A PCP or PLP certification is preferred
