Job Description:

My client's personal injury law firm, located in picturesque Gloucester County on the Chesapeake Bay, is looking for an experienced Personal Injury Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join their dedicated team. If you excel in a fast-paced environment and enjoy providing compassionate support to individuals affected by car, truck, or motorcycle accidents, we encourage you to apply!

Job Responsibility:

Document Preparation & Management: Draft, review, and track legal documents and correspondence
Client & Court Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, courts, and other parties
File Maintenance: Organize and maintain both electronic and physical case files
Intake Support: Conduct initial intake interviews with new clients
Office Operations: Manage a multi-line phone system and provide administrative support
Attorney Assistance: Collaborate with two attorneys and other team members to ensure efficient case handling

Requirements:

Commitment to delivering exceptional client service
Minimum of 3 years of office administration experience (preferred)
Strong preference for candidates with personal injury law experience in Virginia
Candidates with civil litigation experience or family law will also be considered
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Familiarity with legal case management systems
Skilled in operating office equipment such as copiers, scanners, and multi-line phone systems
Professional demeanor with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized, able to multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
Independent, team-oriented, and trustworthy with a strong sense of confidentiality and financial responsibility
2-3 years of personal injury law experience in Virginia is strongly preferred

Nice to have:

Candidates with civil litigation experience or family law will also be considered
