Job Description:

CVS Health Specialty Pharmacy is looking for a full-time Insurance Billing Coordinator to ensure timely and accurate billing for outstanding claims while providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. This role involves third-party insurance claim billing, resolving claim denials, maintaining patient demographic information, and working collaboratively to address billing issues.

Job Responsibility:

  • Third party insurance claim billing associated with the dispensing of prescription medication using the bill method required by the payer
  • Transmit or submit claims (electronic or paper) to insurance payers for reimbursement
  • Resolve claim rejections and denials that may have resulted from incorrect or incomplete information
  • Contact insurance companies, account managers, and patients for assistance in claim billing resolution
  • Maintain supporting chronological notes that detail action taken to resolve outstanding account balances
  • Maintain patient demographic information and data collection systems, including all billing reports, work queues or rejections according to payer and company policy guidelines
  • Research and respond by telephone, via the internet and in writing to insurance companies and governmental payers regarding billing questions, issues and problems
  • Contact patients and Physician’s offices as well as insurance companies as needed in order to expedite claims processing.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of Healthcare Insurance related experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Must be able to commute to the Monroeville, PA office.

  • Effective customer service skills and experience that shows ability to work in a team environment

  • Ability to utilize analytical skills
  • Ability to navigate through multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize based on importance while displaying strong attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate with clientele in a professional manner both verbally and written.
