Job Description:

The pharmacy intern will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and play a critical role in ensuring a safe and effective Retail Pharmacy work environment that delivers exceptional care to patients. The role involves patient care programs and collaboration within the pharmacy team while adopting a culture of continuous improvement.

Job Responsibility:

Complete any additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager
Complete all required training and obtain required licensure (if applicable) within state guidelines

Requirements:

Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
0-3 years relevant work experience
Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Strong communication and presentation skills
Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
Ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
Finger Dexterity to work primarily with fingers rather than whole hand or arm
Ability to reach overhead
Ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) in multiple directions
Ability to stoop to move items between low and high positions
Close visual acuity to transcribe, view a computer terminal, read, and visually inspect small parts
Ability to orally communicate information and instructions
Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.
