Job Description:

As a 3rd year pharmacy intern, you will be responsible for contributing to a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your role focuses on enhancing patient health, compliance with regulations, and fostering a collaborative, purpose-driven team culture.

Job Responsibility:

Lead with heart and show empathy to customers, patients, and colleagues
Seek new ways to collaborate and deliver better outcomes
Facilitate a team culture of caring, energy, and pride
Align others around the purpose of improving health
Ensure patient safety
Adhere to pharmacy professional practices and regulatory requirements
Manage customer service and inventory workflows
Participate in quality assurance programs
Adopt and manage patient care initiatives.

Requirements:

Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
0-3 years relevant work experience
Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Strong communication and presentation skills
Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
Ability to perform tasks requiring precision control and dexterity
Visual acuity for activities such as transcribing, reading, and computer use
Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.

Nice to have:

Immunization eligibility
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Providing patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
