Job Description:

As a 3rd year pharmacy intern at CVS Health, you will work as part of the pharmacy team to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment focused on exceptional patient care. Responsibilities include various aspects of patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory compliance, and inventory management. You will be engaged in continuous improvement aimed at changing health care for the better.

Requirements:

Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
0-3 years relevant work experience
Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Strong communication and presentation skills
Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
Ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
Ability to perform activities requiring finger dexterity
Ability to reach overhead
Ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) multiple directions
Ability to adjust machines to exact positions
Ability to stoop to a considerable degree
Visual acuity for transcribing and visual inspection
Ability to orally communicate information and instructions
Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs
Ability to complete additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager
Ability to complete all required training and obtain required licensure (if applicable) within state guidelines

Nice to have:

Immunization eligibility
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Once state regulations are met, pharmacy interns should strive to provide patient immunizations as this is an essential pharmacist function
