Job Description:

As a 3rd year pharmacy intern at CVS Health, you will work as part of the pharmacy team under a licensed pharmacist, ensuring a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will play a critical role in patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory compliance, and inventory management, along with fostering a team culture. Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE-accredited pharmacy program is required.

Perform quality assurance
Provide customer service
Manage inventory and workflow (excluding final prescription verification)
Promote patient care programs.

Requirements:

Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
0-3 years relevant work experience
Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Strong communication and presentation skills
Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
Ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
Lift, scan, and bag items
Finger dexterity for picking, pinching, typing or working with fingers
Reach overhead to grasp items
Extend hand(s) and arm(s) in multiple directions
Precision control for adjusting machines
Stoop and bend spine at the waist
Visual acuity for transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and reading
Communicate orally to share instructions and information
Occasionally lift up to 20 lbs. with up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally or 10 lbs. frequently.

Nice to have:

Immunization eligibility
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Pharmacy interns should aim to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
