Job Description:

As a pharmacy intern, you will work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to deliver exceptional care to patients in a Retail Pharmacy environment. This involves tasks such as ensuring patient safety, managing inventory, maintaining compliance with regulations, and providing customer service.

Requirements:

Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
0-3 years relevant work experience
Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Strong communication and presentation skills
Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
Finger dexterity for tasks such as typing or handling small parts
Ability to reach overhead and stretch in various directions
Precision control to adjust machines to exact positions
Ability to stoop and bend for tasks
Close visual acuity for computer tasks and small part inspection
Ability to orally communicate instructions and information
Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.

Nice to have:

Immunization eligibility
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Pharmacy interns should strive to provide patient immunizations as this is an essential pharmacist function once state regulations are met.
