Job Description:

As a pharmacy intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to play a critical role in ensuring a safe and effective Retail Pharmacy work environment. Responsibilities include patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory compliance, customer service, and inventory management. You will also engage in activities like workflow management, patient care program adoption, and collaboration with the pharmacy team.

Requirements:

Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
0-3 years relevant work experience
Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Strong communication and presentation skills
Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
Ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
Finger Dexterity
Reach overhead
Precision control
Stoop to a considerable degree
Visual Acuity
Able to orally communicate information and instructions to colleagues and customers
Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.

Nice to have:

Immunization eligibility
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Pharmacy interns striving to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
