Job Description:

As a 3rd year pharmacy intern, work under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective Retail Pharmacy work environment. Responsibilities include patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, inventory management, and workflow management.

Requirements:

Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
0-3 years relevant work experience
Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Strong communication and presentation skills
Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
Ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
Ability for finger dexterity: picking, pinching, typing or working with fingers
Ability to reach overhead
Ability to extend hands and arms to place, move, or lift items
Precision control for adjusting machines
Ability to stoop to move items
Visual acuity for performing activities such as transcribing or inspecting small parts
Able to orally communicate instructions
Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.

Nice to have:

Immunization eligibility
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Ability to strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met
