Job Description:

At CVS Health, pharmacy interns play a critical role ensuring a safe and effective Retail Pharmacy environment under the supervision of licensed pharmacists. Responsibilities include patient care, inventory management, customer service, and workflow oversight. Interns will gain hands-on experience and contribute to the mission of increasing access, lowering costs, and improving care quality.

Ensure a safe and effective Retail Pharmacy work environment
Support activities including patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, inventory management, and workflow management.

Requirements:

Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
0-3 years relevant work experience
Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Strong communication and presentation skills
Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
Lift, scan, and bag items
Finger dexterity for tasks like picking, pinching, typing
Ability to reach overhead, extend arms multiple directions, and stoop
Visual acuity for activities such as transcribing, computer terminals, reading
Oral communication of information and instructions
Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.

Nice to have:

Immunization eligibility
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Ability to provide patient immunizations as permitted by state regulations.
