Job Description:

As a 3rd year pharmacy intern at CVS Health, under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and effective Retail Pharmacy work environment that delivers exceptional care to each patient. Responsibilities include patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, inventory management, workflow management (excluding final prescription verification), and participation in patient care programs to keep customers healthy.

Requirements:

Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
0-3 years relevant work experience
Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Strong communication and presentation skills
Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
Ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
Ability to perform tasks requiring finger dexterity, reach overhead, extend hand(s) and arm(s) in multiple directions, exercise precision control, stoop, and exhibit close visual acuity
Ability to orally communicate instructions or information
Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.

Nice to have:

Immunization eligibility
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Pharmacy interns striving to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met
