Job Description:

As a pharmacy intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective Retail Pharmacy work environment, deliver exceptional care to patients, and perform various tasks such as inventory management, workflow management, and patient safety assurance.

  • Oversee workflow management (excluding final prescription verification)

Requirements:

  • Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
  • 0-3 years relevant work experience
  • Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
  • Ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
  • Ability to perform finger dexterity tasks
  • Ability to reach overhead and stretch or reach out with the body
  • Ability to stoop and use lower extremities to move items
  • Visual acuity for close visual tasks
  • Ability to orally communicate instructions to colleagues and customers
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs
  • Ability to complete additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager
  • Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and obtain licensure (if applicable).

Nice to have:

  • Immunization eligibility
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
