Job Description:

As a 3rd-year pharmacy intern, you play a critical role in ensuring safe and effective Retail Pharmacy operations. Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you deliver exceptional care to patients and contribute to improving health care. Responsibilities include patient safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, customer service, inventory and workflow management, along with fostering a team culture of caring and enthusiasm.

Job Responsibility:

Lead with Heart – display empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues
Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride
Seek new ways to grow, collaborate with others, and deliver better outcomes
Align others around the purpose to bring your heart to every moment of your health and gain support and commitment
Keep customers and patients healthy via adoption and management of patient care programs
Complete any additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager
Complete all required training and obtain required licensure (if applicable) within state guidelines.

Requirements:

Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
0-3 years relevant work experience
Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Strong communication and presentation skills
Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
Lift, scan, and bag items
Finger Dexterity: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers
Reach overhead
Extend hand(s) and arm(s) in multiple directions
Precision control to adjust machines
Stoop significantly and use lower extremities and back muscles
Visual Acuity for close activities
Oral communication skills
Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs
Ability to move objects with exertion of force.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
