Job Description:

As a 3rd year pharmacy intern at CVS Health, you'll work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Responsibilities include delivering patient care, ensuring safety and compliance, assisting with inventory and workflow management, and contributing to a supportive team environment.

Job Responsibility:

Lead with heart by displaying empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues
Seek new ways to grow, collaborate with others, and deliver better outcomes
Align others around the purpose of improving health
Facilitate a team culture promoting caring, energy, and enthusiasm
Ensure patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, and regulatory compliance
Deliver quality assurance and customer service
Manage inventory and workflow excluding final prescription verification
Keep customers and patients healthy through patient care programs.

Requirements:

Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
0-3 years relevant work experience
Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Strong communication and presentation skills
Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
Ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
Finger dexterity for detailed work
Ability to reach overhead, stretch, or reach out to grasp items
Visual acuity for transcribing and inspecting small parts
Ability to exert up to 20 lbs. of force or lift up to 20 lbs.

Nice to have:

Immunization eligibility
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Once state regulations are met, pharmacy interns should aim to provide patient immunizations.
