Job Description:

As a 3rd-year pharmacy intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, playing a critical role in ensuring a safe and effective Retail Pharmacy work environment while delivering exceptional care to patients. Focus areas include patient safety, customer service, inventory management, and fostering a caring team culture.

Job Responsibility:

Lead with heart and display empathy for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues
Seek new ways to grow, collaborate, and deliver better outcomes

Facilitate a team culture promoting care, energy, enthusiasm, and pride
Ensure patient safety
Conduct pharmacy professional practice
Fulfill regulatory requirements
Perform quality assurance
Provide customer service
Manage inventory and workflow excluding final prescription verification.

Requirements:

Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
0-3 years relevant work experience
Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Strong communication and presentation skills
Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
Ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
Finger dexterity
Ability to reach overhead
Precision control
Ability to stoop to a considerable degree
Visual acuity
Oral communication
Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs
Ability to complete additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager
Ability to complete all required training and obtain required licensure (if applicable) within state guidelines.

Nice to have:

Immunization eligibility
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Pharmacy interns should strive to provide patient immunizations.
