Job Description:

As a pharmacy intern at CVS Health, you will work as part of the pharmacy team under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities include patient safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, customer service, inventory management, and workflow management, with a focus on keeping customers and patients healthy.

Job Responsibility:

Provide customer service
Manage inventory and workflow (excluding final prescription verification).

Requirements:

Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
0-3 years relevant work experience
Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Strong communication and presentation skills
Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Mobility and ability to remain upright for extended periods of time
Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
Finger dexterity for picking, pinching, and typing
Ability to reach overhead and stretch
Precision control for machine adjustments
Ability to stoop and use back muscles for movement
Close visual acuity for transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and reading
Oral communication of information and instructions
Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.

Nice to have:

Immunization eligibility
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Pharmacy interns should strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
