Job Description:

As a Pharmacy Intern, critical responsibilities include assisting the Pharmacy team in providing an excellent experience for patients and fulfilling prescription needs under supervision, providing counseling, coordinating patient care with healthcare professionals, offering health screenings, and ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory requirements, while fostering a culture of empathy and continuous improvement.

Job Responsibility:

Participates in all aspects of the prescription filling process
Providing Patient Counseling
Collaboration with all Healthcare Professionals to provide coordinated patient care
Offering Health Screenings and Immunizations when appropriate
Customer Service
Patient Safety
Assisting Pharmacy Patients and Front Store customers with questions
Pharmacy Professional Practice
Regulatory Requirements
Inventory Management
Display empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues
Motivate and inspire the Pharmacy Team to provide excellent patient care
Identify critical business opportunities and develop meaningful solutions
Support implementation of solutions for achieving specified goals
Adapt to change and thrive in a dynamic community healthcare setting
Remain current on new developments, initiatives, and training
Seek new growth opportunities and collaborate to deliver better outcomes

Requirements:

Active Pharmacy Intern License in the state in which you are employed
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List
No pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances
Current enrollment in a School of Pharmacy
