Job Description:

Pharmacy intern position under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Responsibilities include ensuring a safe and effective retail pharmacy work environment, patient safety, professional practice, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, customer service, inventory management, and workflow management. The role involves direct interaction with patients, offering empathy, leadership, and collaboration to achieve better health outcomes.

Requirements:

Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
0-3 years relevant work experience
must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
strong communication and presentation skills
complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
ability to lift, scan, and bag items
finger dexterity
ability to reach overhead
ability to extend hands and arms multiple directions to place, move, or lift items
precision control
stoop to a considerable degree
visual acuity
ability to orally communicate information and instructions
occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs
exerting up to 20 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, or negligible force constantly.

Nice to have:

Immunization eligibility
proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
pharmacy interns should strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
