Job Description:

At CVS Health, Pharmacy Technicians play a vital role in providing patient care and maintaining pharmacy compliance standards. The position requires individuals to work in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment, where they serve and care for patients, learn technical skills, and demonstrate core values like accountability and collaboration.

Job Responsibility:

Manage assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks to promptly and accurately fill prescriptions
Deliver compassionate care to patients and customers
Ensure medication needs and regulatory compliance standards are met
Maintain ethical conduct and patient confidentiality
Complete CVS Pharmacy Technician training program
Handle customer interactions in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

Must be at least 16 years of age
Licensure requirements vary by state
Attention and focus—the ability to concentrate on a task without being distracted
Customer service orientation—actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner
Communication skills—use and understand verbal and written communication
Mathematical reasoning—ability to use math to solve problems, such as prescription calculations
Problem resolution—ability to recognize and address problems appropriately
Physical demands—upright posture, moving on foot, visual acuity, occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.

Nice to have:

Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
PTCB National Certification
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
