Job Description:

At CVS Health, our Pharmacy Technicians play a critical role in supporting pharmacy teams to effectively deliver health solutions, provide operational and service excellence, and improve patient experiences. This position involves collaborating with the pharmacy team, assisting with prescription fulfillment, patient interactions, and inventory activities, while adhering to all procedures, regulations, and ethical standards.

Job Responsibility:

Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help our Pharmacists manage and improve patient health
Following pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Creating heartfelt and personalized moments while serving patients at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone
Keeping patients healthy by offering immunizations and other services at the register and over the phone
Solving or escalating patient problems
Completing basic inventory activities, such as accurately putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, and waiting bin inventories
Expanding clinical and technical knowledge needed to assist patients
Traveling voluntarily to stores in the market to work shifts as needed
Complying with CVS policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and compliance
Delivering patient health care services, where allowed by law

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but is not limited to, age, education, and licensure/certification
If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in the home store, and across the market in other locations, to meet business needs
