Job Description:

At CVS Health, Pharmacy Technicians play a critical role in delivering operational and service excellence by supporting the pharmacy team to ensure prescription fulfillment, patient safety, and positive patient experiences. The role involves hands-on tasks such as inventory activities, adhering to legal and ethical guidelines, and contributing to a safe and inclusive team environment. Technicians also play a part in administering vaccinations and other health services where permissible.

Job Responsibility:

Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation
following pharmacy workflow procedures
contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and care
completing basic inventory activities such as putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts
being a team player and embracing feedback for growth
remaining flexible for scheduling and store needs
understanding and complying with laws and regulations related to pharmacy practices
delivering additional patient health care services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing.

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but is not limited to, age, education, and licensure/certification
if the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
if the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
state-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
attention to detail
ability to confirm prescription information accurately
ability to pivot between tasks
customer service orientation
verbal and written communication skills
ability to use math for tasks such as calculating total number of tablets to dispense
physical mobility to stand, lift, and move items.

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
ability to work across multiple store locations as needed.
