Job Description:

Pharmacy Technicians are at the forefront of delivering compassionate care to patients. Job Responsibility:

Manage assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks to promptly, safely, and accurately fill patient prescriptions
provide caring customer service that exceeds expectations
adhere to professional and ethical standards
ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations
maintain patient confidentiality
complete training programs and certification requirements
build clinical, technical, and insurance knowledge
contribute to patient care and health improvements.

Requirements:

Must be at least 16 years of age
licensure requirements vary by state
ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted
actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner
notice and understand customers’ reactions and respond appropriately
use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with customers and colleagues
actively listen by giving full attention to what others are saying
ability to use math to solve a problem
able to judge when something is wrong or likely to go wrong
choose the best course of action when faced with a complex situation
ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods of time
ability to move about on foot to accomplish tasks
capacity for occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.

Nice to have:

Previous experience in a pharmacy
previous experience in retail, medical, or customer service settings
previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
PTCB National Certification
high school diploma or equivalent education.
