Job Description:

The Pharmacy Technician provides opportunities to work in a leading retail pharmacy role that positively impacts the lives of patients and customers. The role includes tasks such as filling prescriptions, maintaining compliance with regulations, and completing required training.

Job Responsibility:

Manage assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks
Promptly, safely, and accurately fill patient prescriptions
Provide caring service to exceed customer expectations
Maintain compliance with Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations
Demonstrate ethical conduct and maintain patient confidentiality
Complete CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program and state registration requirements.

Requirements:

Must be at least 16 years of age
Licensure requirements vary by state
Attention and focus to concentrate on tasks over a period of time without being distracted
Customer Service Orientation and ability to actively seek ways to help people and respond appropriately to customer reactions
Communication skills, including verbal and written communication and active listening
Mathematical reasoning such as calculating day's supply of a prescription
Problem Resolution skills to judge when problems arise and determine best course of action
Physical demands including standing for extended periods, moving about on foot, and occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs
Visual acuity required for tasks such as transcribing, viewing computer screens, and inspecting small parts.

Nice to have:

Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
PTCB National Certification
High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
