Job Description:

Pharmacy Technicians at CVS Health deliver compassionate care to patients, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing customer-focused service in a fast-paced environment. Job Responsibility:

Manage assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks
promptly, safely and accurately fill patient prescriptions
provide caring service exceeding customer expectations
complete CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program
satisfy all registration, licensing and certification requirements
ensure medication needs and regulatory compliance standards are met
maintain ethical conduct and patient confidentiality
build clinical, technical, and insurance knowledge and expertise
support team operations.

Requirements:

Must be at least 16 years of age
licensure requirements vary by state
ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted
actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner
notice and understand customers’ reactions, respond appropriately
use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with customers and colleagues
actively listen, understand points being made, ask questions appropriately
use math to solve problems such as calculating day’s supply of a prescription
recognize problems, judge when something is wrong and choose the best course of action
remaining upright on feet for sustained periods of time
moving on foot to accomplish tasks
picking, pinching, typing, working primarily with fingers
extending hand(s) and arm(s)
bending and stooping to a considerable degree
expressing ideas accurately through spoken word
perceiving normal sounds and receiving detailed information orally
close visual acuity for activities like transcribing, viewing computer terminals, reading, visual inspections involving small parts
occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs
previous experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service preferred
PTCB National Certification preferred.
