Job Description:

The Pharmacy Technician position at CVS Health provides opportunities to work in a leading retail pharmacy setting, impacting lives through compassionate care. Responsibilities include managing pharmacy tasks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining patient confidentiality. New hires must complete training and meet state-specific licensure requirements.

Job Responsibility:

Manage assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks to promptly, safely, and accurately fill patient prescriptions
Provide caring service that exceeds customer expectations
Complete CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program and meet licensing, registration, and certification requirements
Maintain compliance with Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations
Expand clinical, technical, and insurance expertise as duties progress
Demonstrate ethical conduct and maintain patient confidentiality.

Requirements:

Must be at least 16 years of age
Licensure requirements vary by state
Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted
Actively look for ways to help people and do so in a friendly manner
Notice and understand customers’ reactions and respond appropriately
Use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with customers and colleagues
Actively listen by giving full attention to what others are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
Ability to use math to solve a problem, such as calculating day’s supply of a prescription
Ability to judge when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong and recognizing there is a problem
Choosing the best course of action when faced with a complex situation with several available options
Physical ability to remain upright on feet for sustained periods of time, move about on foot, type or work with fingers, extend arms in any direction, bend at the waist and stoop, express or exchange ideas verbally, perceive sounds at normal speaking levels, and occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.

Nice to have:

Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
PTCB National Certification
