Job Description:

Pharmacy Technicians work at CVS Health providing care to patients, aiding with prescriptions, regulatory compliance, and more while demonstrating core company values like Accountability, Caring, and Innovation. New hires will complete training programs and satisfy licensing requirements. Physical demands include standing, lifting, and handling tasks with precision.

Job Responsibility:

Manage all assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks to promptly, safely and accurately fill patient prescriptions
Provide caring service that exceeds customer expectations
Demonstrate ethical conduct and maintain patient confidentiality
Support the team in delivering compassionate care to patients
Complete a CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program and fulfill all registration, licensing and certification requirements.

Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age
Licensure requirements vary by state
Attention and Focus - the ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted
Customer Service Orientation - actively look for ways to help people and do so in a friendly manner, notice and understand customers’ reactions, and respond appropriately
Communication Skills - use and understand verbal and written communication, actively listening by giving full attention and asking questions appropriately
Mathematical Reasoning - the ability to use math to solve problems, such as calculating day’s supply of a prescription
Problem Resolution - is able to judge when something is wrong, recognizing there is a problem, and choosing the best course of action when faced with a complex situation
Physical demands include standing for sustained periods, foot mobility, fine motor skills involving fingers, extending arms, bending forward, stooping, verbal communication, and close visual acuity
Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.

Nice to have:

Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
PTCB National Certification
High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
