Job Description:

Work as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail pharmacy setting, impacting patient lives through care and compliance with laws and regulations. Opportunities for growth in clinical and technical knowledge.

Job Responsibility:

Work at assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks to safely and accurately fill patient prescriptions
provide caring service that exceeds customer expectations
complete CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program
satisfy state registration, licensing and certification requirements
maintain ethical conduct and patient confidentiality
build clinical, technical and insurance knowledge through available tools and training.

Requirements:

Must be at least 16 years of age
licensure requirements vary by state
ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted
actively look for ways to help people and do so in a friendly manner
notice and understand customers’ reactions and respond appropriately
use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with customers and colleagues
actively listening by giving full attention to what others are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate and not interrupting at inappropriate times
ability to use math to solve a problem, such as calculating day’s supply of a prescription
ability to judge when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong
recognize there is a problem
choose the best course of action when faced with a complex situation with several available options
remaining upright on feet for sustained periods
moving about on foot
working primarily with fingers
extending hands and arms
bending spine at the waist
stooping
spoken communication
perceive sound at normal speaking levels
close visual acuity for activities like transcribing or viewing computer terminals
occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.

Nice to have:

Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical or customer service setting
previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
PTCB National Certification
high school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
