Job Description:

At CVS Health, Pharmacy Technicians play a critical role in supporting operational and service excellence. Responsibilities include assisting patients, managing prescription workflows, contributing to inventory management, and supporting immunizations where allowed. The role requires compliance with state regulations and contributing towards an inclusive and high-performing environment.

Job Responsibility:

Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help our Pharmacists manage and improve patient health
Following pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Creating heartfelt and personalized moments while serving patients
Offering immunizations and other patient services
Completing basic inventory activities such as putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts
Contributing to a high-performing team and embracing growth mindset
Compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and professional standards
Supporting immunizations by educating patients and administering vaccines where permissible

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but is not limited to, age, education, and licensure/certification
If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe

Customer service and team orientation
Communication skills
Mathematical reasoning
Problem resolution
Physical demands such as mobility, lifting up to 20lbs, and visual acuity

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in the home store, and across the market in other locations, to meet business needs
