Job Description:

Pharmacy Technicians at CVS Health play a critical role in supporting pharmacy teams to deliver excellent service and operational efficiency. They assist patients, ensure prescriptions are processed safely, and comply with regulations. Technicians receive training and work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to make a positive impact on patient care.

Job Responsibility:

Following all company SOPs to help manage and improve patient health
Performing pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Delivering exceptional customer service including empathy and compassionate care
Completing inventory activities such as putting away medication deliveries, cycle counts, and returns-to-stock
Showing flexibility for scheduling and occasional travel across locations
Understanding and complying with federal, state, and local laws, as well as CVS policies and procedures
Supporting immunizations where permitted by law
Accurately documenting information during patient health care services
Actively contributing to a safe and inclusive team environment.

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but is not limited to, age, education, and licensure/certification
If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Excellent communication skills
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
Ability to provide friendly, respectful customer service
Basic mathematical reasoning
Physical requirements such as mobility, lifting, and precise machine adjustments.

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in the home store, and across the market in other locations, to meet business needs.
