Job Description:

Pharmacy Technicians at CVS Health play a key role in providing compassionate care for patients and customers while managing tasks such as filling prescriptions, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining patient confidentiality. They promote health and lower costs while working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The role will require completing a structured training program and adhering to high professional and ethical standards.

Job Responsibility:

Manage all assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks
safely and accurately fill patient prescriptions
provide caring service that exceeds customer expectations
ensure medication needs and regulatory compliance standards are met
demonstrate ethical conduct and maintain patient confidentiality
complete the CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program
expand clinical, technical, and insurance knowledge
support the team in delivering compassionate patient care.

Requirements:

Must be at least 16 years of age
licensure requirements vary by state
ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted
actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner
notice and understand customers’ reactions and respond appropriately
ability to use and understand verbal and written communication
actively listen by giving full attention, understanding points being made, and asking appropriate questions
ability to use math to solve problems such as calculating day’s supply of a prescription
ability to judge when something is wrong or likely to go wrong and choose the best course of action in complex situations
physical ability to remain upright, move on foot, pick and pinch with fingers, extend arms, bend, stoop, and occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.

Nice to have:

Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
PTCB National Certification
high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
