Job Description:

Pharmacy Technicians play a critical role in supporting CVS Health pharmacy teams to deliver outstanding patient experiences by assisting with pharmacy operations, managing inventory, and supporting health care services, including immunizations.

Job Responsibility:

Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help our Pharmacists manage and improve patient health
Following pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care
Completing basic inventory activities as directed by the pharmacy leadership team
Contributing to a high-performing team and actively seeking opportunities to expand knowledge
Remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs while contributing to an inclusive team dynamic
Understanding and complying with all relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations
Delivering additional patient health care services, where allowable by law and supported by required training and certification
Supporting immunizations where permissible, including completing additional licensure and training requirements
Educating patients about the importance of vaccines
Monitoring for adverse reactions and reporting per public health requirements
Reviewing and collecting patient information
Monitoring and managing vaccine supplies.

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but is not limited to, age, education, and licensure/certification
If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state.

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in the home store, and across the market in other locations, to meet business needs.
