Job Description:

The Pharmacy Technician position provides individuals with an opportunity to work in a leading retail pharmacy company and in a role that positively impacts the lives and health of others. The role involves managing pharmacy tasks, filling prescriptions safely, providing caring service, and adhering to compliance standards. The position includes extensive training and opportunities for career development.

Job Responsibility:

Manage assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks
Promptly, safely and accurately fill patient prescriptions
Provide caring service to customers
Complete CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program and satisfy state registration and certification requirements
Maintain ethical conduct and patient confidentiality
Build clinical, technical, and insurance knowledge and expertise

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but is not limited to, age, education, and licensure/certification
If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program

Physical demands include standing for sustained periods, moving about on foot, using hands and arms, bending and stooping, and lifting up to 30 lbs
Visual acuity for close tasks

Nice to have:

Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
PTCB National Certification
