Job Description:

Pharmacy Technicians at CVS Health deliver compassionate care to patients by managing pharmacy workstations and tasks and ensuring all medication needs and regulatory compliance standards are met. The position requires adherence to ethical conduct and patient confidentiality while providing fast-paced, caring, and customer-focused service. New hires undergo extensive training and certification requirements.

Job Responsibility:

Managing pharmacy workstations and tasks
ensuring patient prescriptions are filled accurately and safely
following ethical standards and maintaining patient confidentiality
completing CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program and meeting all state licensure requirements
building clinical and technical knowledge through training tools.

Requirements:

Must be at least 16 years of age
licensure requirements vary by state
ability to concentrate on tasks without being distracted
actively looking for ways to help people in a friendly manner
recognizing and responding to customers' reactions appropriately
strong verbal and written communication skills
ability to actively listen and respond appropriately
mathematical reasoning skills to solve problems like calculating prescription supplies
ability to judge when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong
ability to choose the best course of action in complex situations
ability to remain upright on feet for extended periods of time
ability to move about on foot between work areas
ability to perform tasks requiring fine motor skills
ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally.

Nice to have:

Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
PTCB National Certification
high school diploma or equivalent.
