Job Description:

Pharmacy Technicians play a key role in helping patients manage prescriptions and chronic conditions. This job involves providing caring service, maintaining compliance with regulations, and building expertise in pharmacy practices.

Job Responsibility:

Manage all assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks
Promptly, safely and accurately fill patient prescriptions
Provide caring service that exceeds customer expectations
Maintain ethical conduct and patient confidentiality
Ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local laws
Build clinical, technical and insurance knowledge by leveraging available tools and training.

Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age
Licensure requirements vary by state
Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted
Actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner
Notice and understand customers’ reactions and respond appropriately
Use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with customers and colleagues
Actively listen and give full attention to what others are saying
Ability to use math to solve a problem, such as calculating day’s supply of a prescription
Ability to judge when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong
Choosing the best course of action when faced with a complex situation
Ability to remain upright on feet for long periods
Ability to move about on foot for assigned tasks
Ability to pick, pinch, type, or work primarily with fingers rather than whole hand or arm
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally.

Nice to have:

Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
PTCB National Certification
High School diploma or equivalent.
