Job Description:

Pharmacy Technician works within CVS Health’s retail locations to provide operational and service excellence, ensuring safe and accurate prescription fulfillment, personalized patient care, and regulatory compliance. This role also supports additional healthcare services like immunizations.

Job Responsibility:

Following all company SOPs to help Pharmacists manage and improve patient health
Contributing to positive patient experiences with empathy and genuine care
Completing basic inventory activities such as medication delivery and stock counts
Contributing to team dynamics with a growth mindset
Remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs
Complying with laws and regulations, including patient safety and privacy protection
Delivering additional healthcare services, including immunizations and on-site clinics
Adhering to workflow procedures for accurate prescription fulfillment
Monitoring and managing vaccine supplies, as applicable.

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but is not limited to, age, education, and licensure/certification
Must be at least 16 years of age if state board does not mandate minimum age
High school diploma or equivalent, or actively enrolled in high school or its equivalency program if state board does not mandate minimum education
State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Attention to detail and ability to ensure prescription safety
Actively look for ways to help people in a team-friendly manner
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Basic mathematical reasoning for task completion
Physical mobility, ability to lift items, and extended work periods
Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and professional standards.

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work across the market in other locations to meet business needs.
