Job Description:

As a Pharmacy Technician at CVS Health, you will support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence. The role includes assisting patients, managing inventory, ensuring prescription safety and accuracy, supporting immunizations, and providing exceptional customer service.

Job Responsibility:

Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help Pharmacists manage and improve patient health
Following pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Creating personalized moments while serving patients at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone
Offering immunizations and other services at the register and over the phone
Solving or escalating patient problems
Completing basic inventory activities such as putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts
Expanding clinical and technical knowledge to better assist patients
Traveling to other stores in the market as needed
Complying with federal, state, and local laws and regulations as well as company policies
Supporting immunizations by obtaining Technician Immunizer status.

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but is not limited to, age, education, and licensure/certification
If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Ability to perform mathematical reasoning
Physical ability to lift up to 20 lbs and perform tasks requiring physical mobility
Ability to provide exceptional customer service.

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Flexibility to work in home store and other locations.
