Job Description:

This clinical rotation prepares Physician Associate students for ambulatory care settings. It includes specialized training, patient interaction, exposure to EMR systems, and practical education on clinic operations, public relations, and evidence-based guidelines.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare students for ambulatory care settings
Provide specialized online training
Facilitate patient interaction
Grant exposure to the EMR system
Teach operational skills for running a clinic
Practical education including clinic operations, public relations, marketing, insurance procedures, and use of evidence-based guidelines
Develop understanding of ambulatory clinic integration in healthcare
Develop insight into corporate office support for clinical practice.

Requirements:

Must be enrolled in a Physician Associate program that already has an executed Affiliation Agreement with MinuteClinic
PA students are only eligible for clinical rotations in the states in which MinuteClinic currently hires PAs
Eligibility must be verified with program faculty
COVID-19 vaccination required, with proof of at least one COVID-19 shot prior to the first day of employment
Ability to apply for reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other recognized reasons preventing vaccination.
