Job Description:

Secondary physics teaching position starting in August 2025 at a world-class bilingual school in Nantong, Jiangsu, China. The school offers a UK curriculum leading to A-level with potential future expansion to the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. The institution aims to instill global citizenship and comprehensive bilingual education, featuring state-of-the-art facilities and boarding options. Candidates should be passionate professionals with strong teaching capacities and flexibility.

Job Responsibility:

  • Administer and develop a curriculum
  • Make effective personalised provision for children
  • Promote the school within the wider community
  • Forge strong working relationships with colleagues
  • Support English language learners and children with SEN or disabilities.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified with a minimum of 2 years of experience
  • Experience in an international setting is welcome as is experience in multilingual environments, and in the UK state or private sectors
  • Ability to administer and develop a curriculum
  • Know how to make effective personalised provision for the children you teach especially those for who English is an additional language
  • Know and understand the roles of colleagues with specific responsibilities, including those with responsibilities for learners with SEN and disabilities and other individual learning needs
  • Passionate about their subject and can inspire children in the classroom
  • A willingness to work hard and the flexibility needed in a growing school
  • Experience of boarding schools is desirable
  • Understanding of bilingual educational system
  • Can work under pressure and to clear timelines while focusing on the bigger picture
  • Technical literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Can join an already established project and work seamlessly with various other stakeholders
  • Have clear communication skills with children and parents and can confidently promote the School within the wider community
  • Can quickly forge strong working relationships with colleagues
  • Are able to accept the support of any mentors within the school, the group or Central Office as a whole
  • Can adapt and work with changing circumstances with positivity, confidence and a can-do spirit at all times
  • Strong mind-set for continuous improvement to meet or exceed expectations.
