Job Description:

Looking for experienced pickers in Nudgee for a Concrete Waste Plant. The primary responsibility will be to identify and remove non-concrete materials from the waste stream on our sorting belts. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the quality of our concrete recycling process.

Job Responsibility:

Sort through the waste materials on conveyor belts to identify and remove non-concrete items (e.g., wood, plastics, metal, etc.)
Ensure materials are accurately sorted and placed in the appropriate disposal containers
Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the plant
Monitor conveyor belts for any issues or blockages and report them to the supervisor
Work in a safe manner, following all health and safety guidelines and regulations
Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient operation
Perform regular inspections to ensure quality control and prevent contamination of the concrete recycling process

Requirements:

Previous experience working in a waste management or recycling plant is preferred
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
Good attention to detail and the ability to distinguish between concrete and non-concrete materials
Comfortable working with machinery and conveyor belts
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
A positive attitude towards health and safety practices
Must be able to work in all weather conditions, as some duties may be outdoors
