In this role, you will oversee accounting operations, guide the plant through budgeting and financial reporting, and ensure compliance with all standards. As a key business partner, you will mentor colleagues, drive growth initiatives, and collaborate closely with the leadership team to support the plant's success. This position is within the manufacturing industry and offers a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
Job Responsibility:
Act as a proactive business partner, collaborating with the General Manager and Plant Leaders to explain results, drive improvements, manage projects, identify inefficiencies, understand operations, and lead the development of complex analyses
Provide strategic consultation, interpretation, and guidance on complex financial and operational matters to departmental leaders, supporting informed business decisions
Analyze variances, communicate insights to management, and recommend corrective actions
Consolidate and analyze plant production and financial statistics to identify trends
Oversee accounting operations, including General Ledger and Inventory/Cost Accounting
Work with plant teams to ensure accurate inventory management and adherence to inventory policies
Manage the month-end close process and prepare financial statements and operational reports for the plant
Coordinate and prepare income statement, balance sheet, and statistical forecasts for the plant
Collaborate across all levels of the organization to achieve plant and corporate goals
Lead the professional development of the accounting team
Share best practices within the finance team, focusing on process improvements, financial modeling, and updates to procedures
Implement and monitor plant internal controls in line with corporate policies to ensure reporting integrity, protect company assets, and identify potential risks
Ensure compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and local statutory requirements
Own the local cost model process in alignment with corporate direction
Set clear performance expectations for direct reports and conduct periodic performance reviews
Facilitate training to enhance awareness of plant analysis, business partnering, cost accounting, purchasing, and accounts payable
Requirements:
Over 10 years of experience in a comparable role
Proficient in accounting functions and annual budget development
Extensive background in auditing and managing budget processes
Deep understanding of US GAAP standards
Strong expertise in financial analysis, including investment-related analysis
Well-versed in month-end closing procedures
Knowledgeable in innovation processes within manufacturing settings
Solid foundation in manufacturing and cost accounting
Proven experience in manufacturing operations
Skilled in mentoring and developing new team members
Experienced in fostering and maintaining business partnerships
Advanced user of Excel and PowerPoint
Extensive experience in budgeting and financial forecasting
