Job Description:

The post holder will perform a variety of tasks related to the porterage service including internal van driving function and will flexibly and proactively respond to any client requirements as and when necessary. To understand and complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time. To understand and comply with company ethics, policies, and procedures. To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner. To comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures. To attend and fully participate in training and appraisal activities as required. To assist the wider porterage team with service delivery to customers in line with capabilities as and when required.

Job Responsibility:

Perform a variety of tasks related to the porterage service including internal van driving function
Flexibly and proactively respond to any client requirements as and when necessary
Understand and complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time
Understand and comply with company ethics, policies, and procedures
Carry out work in a safe and diligent manner
Comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures
Attend and fully participate in training and appraisal activities as required
Assist the wider porterage team with service delivery to customers in line with capabilities as and when required
Professional at all times when dealing with clients and proactively represent SPS on site promoting excellent customer service
Work a 40-hour, five-day week Monday to Friday
Carry out meeting room and event set ups, moving tables and chairs in and out of the storage area into the meeting rooms as required
Ad-hoc porterage which includes moving furniture and large bulky items around the building
Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner
Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles
Drives safely and follow all laws and rules of driving to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
Vehicle checks / mileage monthly report / usage of fuel card as per company policy
Dealing with enquiries from the client, both face to face and on the telephone
Ensure that all work areas are clean, tidy, and safe
Follow the health, safety and fire and security precautions laid down and operated by the Company
Be flexible to cover other areas of the operation as necessary and carry out any other duties as required by the Supervisor or Client

Requirements:

UK driving license
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent customer service skills
Flexibility in hours
Basic computer literacy
Ability to work well under own supervision
Well-presented and observes appropriate business dress code (uniform provided)
