The Practice Manager is responsible for leading and managing operations at a single primary care clinic location, supervising clinical and non-clinical team members, supporting operational initiatives, driving metrics related to patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes, and ensuring daily clinic operations run smoothly while embodying Oak Street Health's mission and values.
Job Responsibility:
Hire, train, supervise, coach, mentor and manage a multi-disciplinary team of 15+
ensure the center is a great place to work and teams are engaged and thriving
ensure clinic operations are running smoothly and safely on a daily basis
provide an unmatched patient experience and service recovery as needed
drive results for patients in Oak Street Health's care model
lead the implementation of in-clinic operational initiatives
ensure patient scheduling processes are executed efficiently
oversee clinical and community areas and handle building-related issues
use proprietary software for monitoring tasks and workflows
partner with the Center Medical Director and Outreach Manager to lead the center
other duties as assigned
Requirements:
2 or more years of experience in a supervisory role
ability to work flexible hours as needed, with occasional evenings
proficient PC skills
US work authorization
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related field (strongly preferred)
5 or more years of experience in a supervisory role within a clinical setting (strongly preferred)
where necessary, fluency in Spanish or other languages spoken by people in the communities we serve (strongly preferred)
experience successfully driving teams towards achievement of metrics (strongly preferred)
experience with Google Suite (preferred)
a passion for mentorship and team development
ability to drive the culture of your center that is collaborative, patient-centric and oriented toward driving results
a problem-solving orientation
a flexible and positive attitude
a proactive and adaptable working style
impeccable judgment and maturity
a supportive attitude toward patient population of older adults
ability to handle confidential information with discretion
