Job Description:

Randstad Education is seeking a committed and adaptable Teaching Assistant to work on a supply basis within our partnership schools in Haverhill and the surrounding villages. This position involves supporting various schools on a day-to-day basis. Responsibilities include supporting classroom teachers, working with small groups of students, providing 1:1 support to pupils with learning needs, and assisting in classroom management. Relevant qualifications are advantageous but not essential.

Job Responsibility:

Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
Work with small groups of students to enhance their learning and understanding
Provide 1:1 support to pupils with specific learning needs, including SEN
Assist in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
Help prepare and organise learning materials and classroom resources
Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to support student progress.

Requirements:

Experience working with children, ideally within a school setting
A flexible and adaptable approach to working in different classroom environments
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
An enhanced child DBS on the update service (or willingness to get one)
Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently
A patient, caring, and supportive attitude towards working with children
Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are advantageous but not essential.
