Job Description:

A leading Architecture firm is currently seeking a Principal Designer to join their dynamic team in Leeds. An exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of projects across various sectors, including residential, commercial, industrial and public projects. The Principal Designer will work on diverse projects throughout the North, offering a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to enhance your career within a supportive environment. This role offers the chance to lead high-profile projects, developing your skills while making a real impact on the region’s construction landscape.

Job Responsibility:

Collaborate with design teams to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring that all projects meet regulatory requirements from inception to completion
Managing design risk assessments, preparing pre-construction information (PCI), and overseeing the review of construction phase plans (CPP)
Work on diverse projects throughout the North

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Principal Designer within a consultancy environment
Strong understanding of CDM 2015 regulations
Background in design, architecture, or construction
NEBOSH Construction Certificate (essential)
APS or IOSH membership is desirable
Excellent communication and client-facing skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
