Job Description:

At Baxter, the Principal Engineer - Packaging will develop and implement product quality improvement projects across various manufacturing plants worldwide, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and driving impactful results.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and implement world-class product quality improvement projects in various manufacturing plants worldwide, ensuring flawless execution and impactful results
  • Align with GDP/GMP regulations and act as an expert in all quality-related activities within the Nutrition On Market Container group
  • Own CAPA (including DMAIC methodology) and Change Control processes
  • Work in global projects within a multifunctional environment, encouraging collaboration and innovation
  • Design engineering studies, interpret results, and compile comprehensive reports on process and product scale-up, manufacturability, cost-of-goods, operating parameters, and specifications
  • Present information and study results effectively to pertinent organization staff members
  • Maintain a high degree of engineering knowledge and expertise in key technical or scientific areas
  • Conduct literature research and identify new technological opportunities to improve products and manufacturing processes
  • Screen new insights and perform feasibility studies for container closure system improvements
  • Interact with suppliers, business and marketing staff, manufacturing groups, and senior management
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • A degree in engineering, manufacturing process, or a related field
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven knowledge in product development processes in the medical area
  • Outstanding sub-project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
  • A strong grasp of theories and practices applied by other fields beyond the main area of expertise
  • Strong persuasive skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convincingly present courses of action to management
  • Proven visual, written, and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively perform within a multi-functional, cross-regional, and multi-cultural team environment
  • Excellent spoken, written, and reading skills in English
  • Experience in statistical analysis with knowledge of Mini-tab
  • Autonomy, organization, a strong sense of responsibility, and clear communication skills
  • Ability to provide solutions that reflect an understanding of business objectives and cost implications
