Job Description:

The Principal Mobile Engineer - Android will advance architecture and mobile products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver great user experiences. Key responsibilities include development, mentoring, CI/CD infrastructure improvements, security advocacy, and end-to-end application delivery. This position contributes to the CVS customer-facing Shopping and Pharmacy app.

Job Responsibility:

Developing Android code especially for complex use-cases
Partner with Product, UX and Engineers to iterate the features and improve the product
Mentoring and guiding team members
Improve and maintain mobile apps CI and CD infrastructure and pipelines
Collaborate to drive solutions reducing cost and time to market
Responsible for end-to-end application delivery and production deployment coordination
Monitoring application health and KPIs, triage production issues
Troubleshoot complex data, features, service, platform issues
Advocate for security best practices
Provide technical guidance and mentoring

Requirements:

10+ years of Software development experience with at least 7+ years in designing/developing Android Mobile applications
5+ years of experience with modern Android development frameworks such as Jetpack compose and Kotlin
5+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams such as design, product, data teams to deliver great user experiences
5+ years of experience in influencing large organizations on best practices in Mobile Android development
5+ years of accessibility experience

Nice to have:

Telemetry & observability experience beyond Firebase
Strong desire to build in test from the start with TDD development experience
Continuous delivery in mobile, code review, static analysis, continuous integration, automation and functional testing (using Espresso)
Experience designing retail or ecommerce applications
Experience with authenticated session using OAuth and authenticated tokens
Significant contributions of released Customer facing applications on the Playstore
