Job Description:

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring a Private Cloud - Software Engineer to contribute to technology projects, deliver software solutions, and enhance Private Cloud offerings. The role involves developing highly technical solutions, collaborating across teams, and learning new technologies.

Job Responsibility:

Analyze and update system logic and documentation with senior engineers' guidance
design, implement, monitor, and troubleshoot software systems
responsible for frontend and backend software development
stay updated on product roadmaps and upcoming technology changes
assist on customer issues and ensure technical standards and documentation are met
collaborate with sales engineering and operational teams to understand customer needs and recommend solutions
learn about operational challenges and assist in developing strategies to address them.

Requirements:

Experience in Java, Groovy, Ruby, and/or Python
experience with Linux environments
some experience with backend development, RESTful APIs, server-side logic, or database management with SQL or NoSQL databases
understanding of core compute, storage, and networking principles
familiarity with virtualization, IT Service Management (ITSM), Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and other automation technologies
knowledge of build tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle), version control systems (e.g., Git), and CI/CD pipelines
eagerness to learn and apply cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
strong communication skills and a willingness to learn from team members
ownership of projects and problem-solving skills
understanding of system architecture and design principles
ability to translate product requirements into technical tasks with guidance.

Nice to have:

Pursuing or completed a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
relevant certifications (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, CompTIA Security+)
expertise in Cloud Architectures, Cross Domain Knowledge, Design Thinking, Development Fundamentals, DevOps, Distributed Computing, Microservices Fluency, Full Stack Development, Release Management, Security-First Mindset, User Experience (UX).
